Hey, y'all Casey here. As an art student it is our luxury to hold critiques! I know what you're thinking.
Casey its judging of someone's work and craft, it probably has a personal feeling or purpose for the person and the assignment?!
Won't it sound Bias? - Technically it is, though seen as bias but more of a viewer's perspective.
Sometimes having an outside perspective helps illuminate on things that are taken in depth that takes a unique way of saying it, while helping with terms and jargon to help as preparation of being hindsight after the art is at a finished stage. So even if it feels like its nitpicky it's trying to help give the artist or creator a view, they may have perceived or is opening to new opportunities or approach of tackling getting their message across.
Won't this feel like it's repetitive to what was said or implemented before? - Sometimes it takes reiterating of specific piece to help bring more fixture to a point of unity. I'll admit as being an artist and a designer for hearing the same response on what I could be taking on this into consideration of how to continue the current project it can definitely feel like its anxious and stressing of what other perspectives have to impact my work. It can feel debilitating or sharper to the point of what the assignment's criteria is asking can be seen as a small nudge or a 180' degree look of what is being asked.
Jargon, terms, and vocabulary are important ways we use to help bring light to things we're trying to discover, help others or give for self-improvement of thought. - THAT BEING SAID -
The way we word things matters on the message we're trying to convey to the audience or viewer of the mediums of art we portray.
Attached below is a word file of some of the Foundational Art Classes vocab words. - Note this isn't a complete list - If something doesn't make sense always look it up - search engines are gateways for research into many subject matter - Casey Jones -
